Four parenting modules and one children’s module focus on a variety of topics from strengthening a child’s social and emotional regulation skills, to developing positive disciplinary techniques to manage children’s negative behaviour.

MODULE 1 – PREP Babies and Toddlers Program 
For parents with children ages 0 – 3 years
Some of the topics include:

  • Parents learning to read babies’ minds
  • Recognizing babies emerging sense of self
  • How to provide physical, tactile & visual stimulation for your baby’s optimal development
  • Promoting Toddler’s Language Development with Child-Directed Coaching
  • Spontaneous Incentives for Toddlers
  • Handling Separations and Reunions with your Toddler
  • Positive discipline strategies to manage your toddler’s inappropriate behavior

MODULE 2 – PREP Positive Relationship Building and Behavior Management Strategies 
For parents with children ages 3 – 6 years
Some of the topics include:
  • Using child - directed play to create a strong positive relationships with your child
  • Learn how to develop emotional, social and academic coaching skills  
  • Establish routines and effective limit setting for your child's behavior
  • Positive discipline techniques to manage your child's inappropriate behavior
  • Teaching children to problem solve and develop their critical thinking skills
MODULE 3 – PREP Enhancing Academic Motivation and Behavior Management Strategies for school- age children
For parents with children ages 6 – 12 years
Some of the topics include:
  • Promoting Your Child’s Reading Skills
  • Dealing with your child’s academic discouragement
  • Fostering good academic learning habits and routines
  • Emotional coaching and persistence coaching for older children
  • Limit setting for school – age children and positive discipline techniques
MODULE 4 – PREP Family Problem Solving & Effective Family Communication
For parental couples with children ages 6 – 12 years
Some of the topics include:
  • Active Listening and Speaking Up as Effective Family Communication Tools
  • Communicating More Positively to Oneself and to Others
  • Problem Solving About Children’s Problems
  • Problem Solving About Interpersonal Issues
  • Teaching Children to Problem Solve in the Midst of Conflict
MODULE 5 – PREP Social Skills Development Club
For children ages 8 - 12 years
The PREP Social Skills Development Club will help your children develop and practice social skills within a group setting with similar aged children. Topics covered include developing problem solving skills, building anger management skills, coping with bullying and teasing, enhancing team building skills, and how children can be taught principles of communication, cooperation and compromise.
